Creating workforce housing opportunities, fostering a feeling of community and nurturing a sense of place are at the heart of Carver Square.

Teachers, nurses, firemen, teacher’s aides, nursing assistants, medical technologists, retail staff, government employees, emergency services providers and policemen are the people we rely upon to make every community viable, and they should have the opportunity to live where they work.

To meet this need, the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) acquired the Carver Square property for the purpose of developing affordable workforce housing options for Delray Beach residents who keep the city moving.

The availability of workforce housing also helps attract new industries to the community and encourages existing ones to expand their operations. Ensuring there are workforce housing options also stimulates economic growth in the city, which leads to a better quality of life for everyone.

More than building homes, PulteGroup is dedicated to nurturing communities.

Community also means supporting the local economy by engaging local Delray Beach contractors who have a knowledge of the locale, and long-standing relationships in the area. For Carver Square, Pulte is committed to hiring local subcontractors that will equate to a minimum of 15 percent of the total construction cost.

Partners in Redevelopment – PulteGroup and the Delray Beach CRA

For more than 35 years, the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has made significant investments throughout the City of Delray Beach. Carver Square is a residential subdivision within the Southwest Neighborhood area of the CRA. Priority projects within this area focus on diversifying and revitalizing the housing stock by creating affordable neighborhoods that promote livability through quality recreation and open space opportunities, and connections between community-serving uses such as employment opportunities, retail and other civic and recreational uses.

Understanding the vision and effort the CRA has invested into the Carver Square neighborhood is vital to the success of the project, and PulteGroup is pleased to be the CRA’s development partner for this endeavor.

“As an organization, we are excited about the workforce housing opportunities available at Carver Square. The CRA is pleased to be working with PulteGroup and realize our goal for this property’s redevelopment.”
